This is my first time to post for PhotoHunt. And to my surprise the theme for this week is 'self', uhm... not easy as I used to hate being in a photograph...

Well I'm joining because I think it is fun and it'll make me pick up my camera more. So this is the start of many fun & exciting saturdays!!!

Bloom

I grew up with flowers all around me, as it is our family business back home. That's why Spring is easily my favorite season. After the cold and grey of winter comes the vibrant colors of bloom. 

The next pictures were taken from a garden here in Southampton one lovely spring day...

Lulworth Cove, Dorset is one of the popular tourist location here in England and is a World Heritage site.

Man O'War Bay

Durdle Door

Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch and this is one of the popular bathing beaches here.

Great views, excellent beach, fresh air, perfect picnic area and on top of that it's FREE!  You only need to pay for parking and that's it. That's what I call nature at it's best!

Riverside Park

These photos were taken from the Riverside Park in Southampton. Its only a 15-minute walk from where I live and I just love coming here to enjoy an afternoon walk.





This one here is my favorite in this set. I just can't help but wonder what 'lolo' is thinking as he stayed there for a long time...

I'm pretty excited with my new baby, this blog. I've wanted to start one for over 2 years now but somehow something always comes up that makes me put it aside as "my next project". But now I finally have the time.... And I guess the other thing that stopped me then was the fact that I'm not a very good writer. But never mind, this is my photoblog which will be (as i think is already quite evident) 90% photos & 10% stories....

The next photos are from our trip to Paris. It instantly became one of my favorite places. It is true what they say that it is the most romantic place in the world. I'd dare say that if you don't fall in love with/in Paris, you probably never will.....

Day in the Park

It was a good day so i decided to walk to the park and enjoy the sun. I sat by the fountain (eating my brownies) when this dog came running from nowhere. He stayed there and played with the water for quite some time. Luckily I had my cam with me...

Strawberry Hazelnut Meringue Cake

Cake anyone? I got the recipe for this cake in a magazine almost 2 years ago. And every strawberry season I just have to bake it. I usually bring it to work or bake it when we have friends coming round for dinner. And it never fails to impress.
