Your "sad" looks like a beautiful painting, Kaycee. So peaceful and reflective, I think.

I almost didn't post to this theme, and my post is not typical "me". I hope you'll stop by, though:

On a second look with glasses on... this wonderful photo is of an elderly man! I am would love to capture the thoughts in his mind as the photo has captured the moment in time.

It's difficult to know if the man is sad - we associate old age with sadness but it's not always true.

When he wakes up perhaps he'll be off to the pub to meet his new girlfriend !! You never know ..

Great photo ..

The effect of this makes it look so much like an oil painting, that's beautiful.

My photo hunt is a 'drawing of sad'...stop by, won't you?

Hope your weekend is treating you well.

It's a beautiful photo. A little sad, but very thoughtful.

I did Photo Hunters today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit and post your link. It would make me *happy*!

Nice choice for the theme and a great photo. We can see in the comments that it evokes different emotions in the viewers and I think that is the mark of a good photograph.

For me it seems melancholy. Regardless of what the man is doing there, we see 'everyman' at this stage in their life. What experiences have brought them to this point we will never completely know.

I would say that your photo choice is honest. In university days, it would be criticised as promoting ageism - the negative aspects. But heck, that is the truth. And all the more, we should watch over the elderly.
